FARM AND RANCH ELECTRICAL SAFETY

The risk of electric shock is one of the greatest hazards in modern agriculture.  To avoid accidents, every farm and ranch worker needs to be aware of the dangers involved in working near power lines, and with electrical equipment.  This video demonstrates many of the everyday farm practices that too often result in injury and even death by electric shocks.  It explains how to properly handle irrigation equipment, how to safely wire and ground electrical systems, and what to do when the worst happens.  This program is designed to help make your operation as safe as it can be.  It should be seen by everyone who works on a farm or ranch.  19 minutes.  Also available in Spanish.

HOW TO CALIBRATE A MANURE SPREADER

LOADER-BACKHOE SAFETY

Consists of two 20-minute videos that provide a comprehensive safety framework and easy-to-follow guidelines for loader-backhoe crews.  Tape 1 deals with loader-backhoe safety and is designed for operators.  It covers the most common mistakes and accidents, transporting, and utility dangers.  Tape 2 addresses the need for a set of practical guidelines for the many other trades that work with the loader-backhoe daily (as more than half of the injuries and deaths associated with these machines involve laborers and other trades people).  It explains how plumbers, electricians, laborers, and others can work safely with the loader-backhoe.
